Introduction

About us

Zabol Research Institute aims to develop agricultural, animal husbandry, natural resources and environmental research, preserve plant and animal species, and create a gene bank for native livestock, seeking regional empowerment, sustainable employment, and knowledge exchange at the regional and national levels. The institute implements various practical projects to change crop patterns, restore wetlands, and prevent evaporation and erosion.

The research institute began its activities in the Sistan region in the form of three research institutes, one research center, and 23 full-time faculty members, the huge 10,000-hectare educational and research complex of Baqiyat al-Azam (PBUH) (Cah Nimeh), and a set of laboratories in February 1401, when it became independent from the University of Zabol.
